The West Virginia Electric Auto Association (WVEAA) was invited to tag along with the 82nd Airborne Association’s first annual classic car, truck and motorcycle show. The event was held in Barboursville, WV on Saturday, May 10th. We had nine electric vehicles (EVs) participate including three Tesla Cybertrucks, three Tesla Model Ys, a Tesla Model 3, a Hyundai Ioniq 5, and a Ford Mustang Mach-E. EVs came from as far as Charleston, WV and Kentucky! Many visitors stopped by and asked good questions. Handouts about EV adoption, EVSE rebates, and more were available to the public.
You couldn't have asked for better weather and Tom and Sean from the 82nd Airborne Association were great hosts. We even got some microphone time to invite visitors to the EV area at end of the field. Everyone had a great time and we hope to join this event again in 2026 with a goal to surpass this year's numbers both in number of vehicles and models!
